Still Life Boredom

For our class, we had to do still life. And push the film. I cannot think of a worse combination. I personally find no enjoyment in arranged photographs but I unfortunately had to do it. Pushing film is one of the most annoying things ever, I had to develop the negatives for double the time (which is standard procedure) and then it was rediculous trying to get them to come out. Our teacher really, honestly, does not teach our class. I found myself helping people more than ever this project and hardly getting any work done. All of everyone's prints were coming out extremely light and grainy. What a combination! So this, by far, is one of the best prints I have seen that came out of our class, which I happened to take. I think if the rest of the class was insane like I am, they would have been trying anything and everything to make them turn out. I used a 2 1/2 contrast filter and I tried to do some dodging around the leaves for more definition, which ended up just being a waste because my scanner sucks.
